EG&G, Inc. was engaged by Our Lady of the Elms High School to provide master planning, site design, engineering, and construction administration services for development of a 23 acre outdoor sports complex located in Bath, Ohio. Directing a team that included architectural, geotechnical, and electrical subconsultants, EG&G, Inc. designed a broad range of sports facilities and site improvements including a 400 meter track with bleachers, soccer fields, tennis courts, softball fields, access drives, paved parking areas, restrooms and multi-use pavilions. Built on a portion of the Ecology Center, the complex is designed to be a model of sensitive development utilizing porous pavement to reduce stormwater runoff; composting restrooms to reduce water usage, and preserving much of the sites existing native fields and wooded areas. EG&G, Inc. was also responsible for obtaining development approval from Bath Township, Summit County, EPA, and ODOT as well as securing approval from the companies holding oil and gas rights.
